As you’ve done, find passion in your art young friend. Life is long and will bring you wonders not yet imagined.

Trying to make that my mission. Struggling with the "finding work-life balance" part. Either way, thank you so much for the encouragement, friend!

Such a great use of rhyme, and you capture the fleeting feeling of working through your youth very well. Nice work!

THANK YOU! I'd thought of the repetition exactly because of how menial work can be just like that.

Oh buddy, so many feel your pain. Thanks for putting it into poetry.

It's one of those things you wish people didn't relate to or that we didn't to have to express at all. Thanks for reading!

The Myth of Sisyphus as the metaphor for the striving to create art in a world that doesn’t care much for it, must it still must be created. It is your burden. Love the imagery, composition and drive of the poem. Bravo sir. 👏

Thank you so, so much, kind sir! 🙏🏻 It is our duty to keep this craft alive.

I relate. I think we all do. Mostly?

It’s most discouraging that most of us just struggle and labor on without end.

Work is such a grind and means to an end. I resonate with your poem Brooklyn.

It really is a means to an end… until such end becomes to just keep working. 😔

But if you don't work, you can't afford your car that you need to get to work! Or the bed you need to sleep in so you can be rested enough to work all day.

I have no idea how people do it, honestly. The same people who never paid attention in school or did any of their homework somehow adjust to working all day for the rest of their lives.

Must work to keep working! Hell, to be an even better worker! TO BE A TOP EXPLOITABLE WORKER!

I don't get that either! Mediocre mentality, I'd say. Enough to get by, enough to stop caring, enough to look down on people who hate work. All they could want!

The repetition is beautiful and fully intentional here. This style doesn’t typically speak to me, but you’ve woven something beautiful. It also feels true to me. Well done! ✨

And it ends just as it begins--working all over again, wondering if the pointlessness must always be a part of it.
